Marinas in Brevard County
Dated: January 31 2019
Brevard County, given its location among the waterways like the Atlantic Ocean and its tributaries - the Indian River Lagoon, the Intracoastal Waterway, the Banana River, and the St. John’s River, is there any doubt the area would be a hub for marinas? With so many water activities to enjoy in the area, even if you don’t own a boat, you can rent one any time you want! Even the city of Melbourne was dubbed The Harbor City. When you’re looking for a marina, here are some of Brevard’s most popular.
Cape Marina – Cape Marina is located in Port Canaveral and promises easy access to the Atlantic and the Intracoastal Waterway. Family-owned since 1976, Cape Marina is a full-service marina with 109 wet dockage slips, rentable mini-storage, yard space, dry storage, high-speed fueling, and haul out capabilities to 75 tons. Located a short walk to a number of delicious restaurants, boaters will find onsite a well-stocked ships store, outstanding restrooms and showers, BBQ grills at the pavilion, a heated pool, and a game room.
Cocoa Village Marina – Cocoa Village Marina offers waterfront luxury with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Located in the Indian River Lagoon, guests of the marina find Historic Cocoa Village across the street, complete with quaint “old Florida” charm in shops, restaurants, and Riverside Park. Offering all the amenities you’d expect; Cocoa Village Marina also features a membership plan which allows berth owners to rent their slips while away. Devoted to being the best marina in the region, Cocoa Village promises attention to detail, outstanding security and a well-maintained facility to all who visit.
Melbourne Harbor and Marina – You’ll find the gem conveniently located south of the Melbourne Causeway on the Intracoastal Waterway and Indian River Lagoon. Across the street from Melbourne’s Historic Downtown, Melbourne Harbor and Marina offer easy access to shopping, dining, groceries, banks, and hotels. The Harbor Marina is flanked by three parks including Crane Creek Manatee Observation Area. In addition, there are two on-site restaurants, Ichabod's Dockside Bar and Grill and the famous Chart House Restaurant. At the Melbourne Harbor and Marina, boaters will find a full-service marina with a helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff, including a Marine Concierge, yacht rigging and repair services, captain and vessel handling, and a multilingual manager. Onsite there are 85 concrete berths in the designated hurricane harbor, which can accommodate vessels up to 130’, along with fuel, a ship’s store, utilities, showers, restrooms, and laundry facilities.
Waterline Marina – Waterline Marina, located in the Eau Gallie Yacht Basin along the Intracoastal Waterway, boasts the most well-protected hurricane harbor in the region.
