Several Brevard County Communities Ranked Amongst The Top 30 Safest Places To Live In Florida Alarm System Reviews created a list of the top 30 Safest Places to Live in Florida. We are proud to report that several cities within our own Brevard County made the list.

Brevard County offers great schools, year-round fun, beautiful but affordable luxury homes and to top it all off, it’s very safe to live here and raise a family. According to the latest Alarm System Reviews, Melbourne Beach, Satellite Beach and Indian Harbour Beach all made the list for the safest communities in Florida.

In order to make the cut, cities were judged on the numbers of violent crimes and property crimes that occurred within a given year. Several sources were used as reference including the most recent and complete annual Uniform Crime Report produced by the FBI, the Census Bureau, as well as other government agencies and organizations that organize and maintain relevant information. The Uniform Crime Report focuses on 7 major types of crimes: robbery, forcible rape, burglary, homicide, larceny/theft, arson, and aggravated assault.

After compiling all of this data, they determined the 15 safest states in the US, as well as the safest cities in the US. These findings are limited to cities that have at least 2,500 residents, as well as complete data reports sent to the FBI for the Uniform Crime Report. For these reasons, some communities with very low crime did not make the list simply because they are too small.

Alarm System Reviews writes, “Our ranking methodology involved comparisons between state and national rates for crime, safety and other relevant factors, including the state’s emergency services capabilities as well as traffic statistics.”
