Brevard County has some of the best shopping in the state, a wide variety of well-known retailers and soon to be local favorites. It doesn’t matter what you are shopping for – fashion, electronics, sporting goods, swimwear, shoes, jewelry, décor, tools, or uniquely Florida wares – you can find them all among these great shopping venues on the Space Coast.
If you want to shop indoors, out of the heat or rainy weather, Melbourne Square and Merritt Square are the malls for you. At Melbourne Square, you’ll find classic anchors in Dillard’s, Macy’s and JCPenney. Of course, Melbourne Square recently underwent a multi-million-dollar revitalization which promises exception new amenities with beautiful porcelain tile floors and seating areas. In addition, a brand new children play area was added filled with playground fun, interactive games, and a library full of kid’s books to enjoy. Melbourne Square also boasts 125 specialty stores and eateries including Coach, Express, and White House/Black Market.
On Merritt Island, you find Merritt Square with more than 100 shops and restaurants including anchors Dillard’s, Macy’s, JCPenney, Sears, and the Cobb Merritt Square Movie Theatre. Inside you’ll find well-liked eateries like Outback Steak House, Ruby Tuesday, and more, plus retail favorites like Zumies, Victoria’s Secret, Champs, Journeys, and Game Stop.
If outdoors and open-air is more your style, you’ll want to stop and shop at The Avenue Viera, Hammock Landing, and the Brevard Farmer’s Market. The Avenue Viera is the newest shopping venue in Viera and promises a laid-back Florida feel with water features and tropical foliage amid specialty shops, retail stores, unique eateries, and a Carmike Cinema movie theatre. You’ll find anchors like Belk, Kohl’s, and World Market here along with upscale shops like Charlotte Russe and Ecco. If you want something a little different, check out the Brevard Farmer’s Market. Here you’ll find lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, locally grown and delicious, along with retail specialties offered by local vendors. Other local farmer’s market venues include Rockledge, Titusville, Eau Gallie, Downtown Melbourne, and Cocoa Beach, each with its own unique, fun, and eclectic shopping style.
Finally, if you love the unique feel and the bustle of downtown shopping, Brevard has a few great shopping spots for you to explore.
